Prevent Tear Out When Cross-Cutting Plywood by Using masking paper. Tear out occurs when the blade is Cross-Cutting Plywood on the front side. Applying masking tape to the top side of the wood & then removing it gives a cleanly cut edge. Tear out marks will ruin the look of your plywood but can prevent them with plywood masking.
